Terms of use of Hjz Kit

  1. 1.License

    When you buy Hjz Kit you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on your own computers. You may not resell, rent, redistribute, modify or decompile the app.

  2. 2.Works offline, without collecting data

    Hjz Kit converts, compresses and edits files on your own computer. Your files are not sent to any server, and the app does not collect personal or usage data. The internet is used only by the Download Video feature and to update the downloader.

  3. 3.Download Video — only content that is yours or cleared

    The Download Video feature was made for saving: videos you published yourself; content in the public domain or under a free license (such as Creative Commons); and content whose owner has authorized the download.

    Do not use the feature to download, copy or redistribute copyrighted content without authorization, or to circumvent DRM, paid subscriptions, logins or any other technical protection. Each site's terms of service (such as YouTube and Instagram) still apply to you.

    You are solely responsible for what you download and for how you use that content, including toward rights holders and platforms. Hjz Kit does not host, store, index or distribute videos: the download goes straight from the site to your computer, through the open-source tool yt-dlp.

    Rights holders with a complaint: contact us through the contact details on the site where the app is sold.

  4. 4.Open-source components

    The app includes FFmpeg (LGPL 2.1 on Mac, LGPL 3 on Windows) and other open-source libraries. The notices and licenses are under "Licenças de terceiros" (Third-party licenses), in the app menu.

  5. 5.No warranty

    The app is provided as is. We do our best to make it work well, but there is no guarantee that it will be free of errors or that third-party sites will remain compatible. Keep a copy of important files before converting them. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for data loss or indirect damages.

  6. 6.Your consumer rights

    Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the Código de Defesa do Consumidor (Brazil's Consumer Protection Code), including the right to withdraw within 7 days from purchases made over the internet.

  7. 7.Changes

    If these terms change, the app asks you to accept them again.
